Endings/Beginnings
Hey there Space Cadets!
Today sees the release of TALES FROM THE DEAD ASTRONAUT #3 and brings with it a close to my first published series thanks to our friends at Source Point Press.
This is my favorite issue of the three as it brings all the stories to a really satisfying conclusion…while of course still leaving you wanting more.
I had a great time with this series. TALES #1 was always just supposed to be a one off, calling card, type book that would help me understand what I wanted to do as a writer of comics…and then it became so much more. I love every page and I hope you do, too!
If you missed the series you can pre-order the collected edition on Amazon (releasing March 8th)

This week also sees the end of NIGHT OF THE COMET…a truly sad and beautiful development.
The book that Attila and I have put together is really out of this world. I’ve shared many pages and snippets over on instagram @spacestationzed but I had to stop for fear of ruining it all.
If you missed the campaign I have some copies still available for pre-order over at my shop. This book should be going to print in the upcoming weeks, so make sure you don’t miss out. There will only be one hardcover print run like this!

AIRPLANE MECHANICS!
Now, for the beginnings…
Launching sometime in mid-late March, Airplane Mechanics! is the story of David and Brian Lite, as they box up the final pieces of their life at their family’s, now sold, airport.
All they have to do to get out of there is fix a rundown 1930s bi-plane that they've been working on since they were old enough to grab a screwdriver.
So, as the clock ticks down to midnight, the brothers must hopelessly get their bird to fly...I hope they make it out of there alive.
Drawn by Jeff Manley (RILEY, TEENAGE BIGFOOT, ZERO ADVENTURE)
I’d suggest hitting the follow button on the pre-launch page for our Kickstarter because this one is going to be something special.
It is a story that has been in my head for over ten years, featuring an airfield around the corner from my childhood home. The book will be 48 pages and digest size, perfect to slip in your back pocket. Jeff is working on the art now so the book will be done by the time the campaign launches.
Check out page one!
Also, check out Jeff’s instagram @manleycartoonist. He puts out great comics, especially Riley, Teenage Bigfoot…which if you dig you can get physical copies of. I have them all!

Well, that’s all for now.
Hopefully, next time I’ll be able to provide a little update about a certain Willy Boyd.
